How to soundproof the floor of a car? Step-by-step instructions
1. We remove the center tunnel, seats, couch, floors and plastics from the pillars using the appropriate kit for removing plastics in the car
2. We thoroughly clean the surfaces for laying insulation materials.
3. We degrease the surfaces under the butyl mat with extraction gasoline
4. Remember that the degreaser dries very quickly! When using it, do it in stages!
5. We soundproof the floor and plastics from the posts with butyl mat ABM Professional with a thickness of 2.5 mm for better effect we recommend ABM Xtreme 2.5 mm.
6. We remember to cut out places for screws/clips!
7. Thoroughly roll out with an assembly roller getting rid of residual air under the mat
8. When you feel that there is a little air left in some place, remove it by pressing it to the nearest outlet/edge!
9. Degrease the butyl mat before laying down the rubber foam.
10. In the places where we have the butyl mat lined, we lay rubber foam with a thickness of 6 to 10 mm. If there is room to install a thicker foam, we prefer to do it for better effect.
11. We choose the thickness of the rubber foam according to the place in the car!
12. After finishing the rubber foam lining, we deal with the installation of the center tunnel, seats, bench seat, floor and pillar plastics.
