Our ABM butyl mats have the thickest aluminum layer (0.1 mm – 100 μ), thanks to which they provide full soundproofing and vibration isolation.
The alubutyl mat has a wide operating temperature range from even -40*C to 170*C.
Thanks to its structure, the mat stretches and shapes perfectly without losing its sound reduction parameters.
Our butyl mats are much easier to install because they do not require the use of additional glue or heating and are very flexible. ABM soundproofing puts much less strain on the vehicle while having the best noise and vibration reduction properties.
Sheets are cut from a full roll. When ordering several sheets, you receive the mat in one piece.

A properly soundproofed car has a positive effect on its acoustics, which means that even music from the factory car speakers has a much better sound and quality (the bass sound improves at medium and high volumes).
An additional big advantage of car soundproofing is thermal insulation. In winter, the car stays warm longer, in summer it’s the other way around – the cool air from the air conditioning stays in the cabin longer.
Installation of the ABM butyl mat.
1. We degrease and clean the soundproofed surface well. It must be clean and dry.
2. We stick the ABM alubutyl mat on each metal element, following the shape of the sheet metal.
3. Press firmly with the ABM pressure roller.
4. On the layer prepared in this way, we apply a waterproof rubber foam – ABM rubber foam.
Exemplary quantities for soundproofing a car.
Examples of quantities of butyl mats and rubber foams needed to soundproof a car*:
- Front doors (pair): approximately 2 m2 of butyl mat + 1 m2 of rubber foam;
- Rear doors (pair): approximately 1.5 m2 of butyl + 1 m2 of rubber foam;
- Trunk with wheel arches: approximately 3 m2 of butyl mat + 3 m2 of rubber foam;
- Floor with engine compartment: approximately 3.5 m2 of butyl mat + 3.5 m2 of rubber foam pieces;
- Roof: approximately 2 m2 of butyl mat + 2 m2 of rubber foam.
